This week we will be using the story 'The Rainbow Fish' again. The PowerPoint story is still available on last weeks planning page if you do not have a copy of the book at home.

Monday

Recap the story Rainbow Fish using your story map or the book. The Rainbow Fish changes during the story. Look at the worksheet below and decide which of the adjectives (describing words) describe the Rainbow Fish at the beginning of the story and which describe him at the end of the story. Can you think of some more words to describe him?

Tuesday

Recap the story Rainbow Fish using your story map or the book. Look at the reading comprehension sheet and answer the questions.

Wednesday

Recap the story Rainbow Fish using your story map or the book.

A verb is a doing word. It is a word that describes action and tells us that something is happening. Colour in the verbs on the fishing for verbs sheet.

Thursday

Today’s activity links to the Creative work planned for this week.

I would like you to make up your own Rainbow Fish song. Here is one I made up to help you.  I used a tune I knew really well and wrote new words.

Ms Ingram's Rainbow Fish Song

(Tune: Frère Jacques)

Rainbow Fish, Rainbow Fish.

In the sea, In the sea.

Sharing shiny scales, Sharing shiny scales.

As happy as can be, As happy as can be.

Decide on the words and tune for your song and ask an adult to help write the words.

Friday

Write your song you made up yesterday in your best handwriting and decorate the page. Remember to use the letter formation laminated sheet to help you get your letters the correct shape and way round. You will also need to remember your finger spaces and full stops.
