Reception
This week we will be continuing with recapping the Phase 3 phonemes and practicing applying our phonic knowledge more consistently in our reading and writing. We will be focusing on the phonemes oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi and ear.
I know that for some, using online activities can be challenging so I have again ensured that all activities can be paper based. The stories can be read from the screen to save printing ink. I have been made aware that the PowerPoint presentations do not work as they should with some versions of the software. I have therefor also put the presentations as PDF files below.
Please continue to use Espresso phonics using the progression guidance from last week and Nessy to help your child practice and consolidate learning. If using only the online resources for your child's phonic home learning, please try and cover the weeks focused phonemes to ensure consistency in coverage.

These lesson videos have been created using the principles of the letters and sounds phonics program we use in school. There are a lot of similar features to the lessons I teach in school so they should be familiar with the terminology. There are a lot of similar features to the lessons I teach in school so they should be familiar with the terminology. Your child will need a pencil and paper as they will be required to have a go at writing some words. The videos are around 30 minutes each, which you could break up if required!
