Welcome 2024
Welcome to Kingswood Primary School
We are a lovely, friendly school in the heart of a beautiful historic village. Kingswood School is a wonderful place to learn because the staff, pupils and parents love being part of the school community.
Our recent Ofsted report (November 2022) graded the school as 'good' with 'outstanding' for behaviour and attitudes. We are delighted that Ofsted recognised the exceptional manners that our children have, alongside the care and respect that they show each other. We believe that one of the reasons for this is our class structure. Children who join our Reception Class go into a class with a maximum of seventeen children. This means that they have a very high adult to child ratio and are able to benefit from a curriculum that can be adapted to suit their interests and needs. Children across the rest of the school are in mixed year group classes. Again, we feel that this adds to the 'family feel' of the school because children experience being in a class with children older and younger than themselves and develop friendships across different age groups.
Our school site may initially appear small, but is supported by the local community and is therefore enormous! We use the local playing fields and tennis courts for our P.E. sessions. We also have an amazing forest school site behind the community orchard by KLB. All of these facilities are accessed via a short walk which the children enjoy.
We feel that Kingswood is a really special place and are proud to be a part of the Kingswood Community.

Every year we write a School Development Plan that targets specific areas for improvement across the year. Please see below for our plan for the academic year 2023-2024.
